WHO WE ARE
We are a friendly and active BSAC club located in Farnborough, north east Hampshire. We welcome divers from all diving agencies - BSAC, PADI, NAUI, SAA at all levels of qualification from complete beginners to fully qualified divers. We can also arrange for instructors from other agencies to crossover to BSAC Open Water Instructor
We aim to organise and take part in safe and enjoyable diving, primarily in the UK, but also abroad, combined with the social aspects of an open & friendly BSAC club. We have around 45 members and we dive all year round, for those willing to brave the weather!
We do a mix of inland, shore, RIB and hard boat charter diving and there is a a high level of interest in wreck diving, particularly along the South Coast. Quite a few of our members are also members of the Nautical Archaeology Society and have completed the NAS Foundation in Maritime Archaeology. This means we can also organise trips on protected wrecks with NAS and go 'diving with a purpose'
WHERE WE DIVE
We have an active diving calendar, ranging from South Coast dives using the Club’s 6 metre RIB boat out of Portland to weekend trips further afield chartering hard boats - Plymouth, Weymouth, Poole, Lundy, Eastbourne, Milford Haven and Swanage. We also visit inland sites frequently for training and for fun - Vobster Quay, NDAC Chepstow, Wraysbury and Stoney Cove.
Diving holidays abroad are always very popular and well supported by the Club. For many members, they started their diving experience on holiday before coming to us to enhance their diving skills and experience. Locations we have visited recently are Egypt, Malta and Indonesia. BSAC qualifications are recognised around the world and our training programme ensures divers are well prepared for a variety of diving environments.
