RIB
We have our own 6 metre RIB with a 115 HP Mariner Optimax plus an auxiliary Mercury 6HP just in case. It can accommodate up to 6 divers and 2 crew. It carries GPS, Chart Plotter, Sonar, 2 X VHF/GPS radios, plus an O2/first aid kit including AED.
Our RIB is primarily based out of Portland, Dorset but other locations such as Newhaven, Selsey and Kimmerage have also been organised.
CLUB EQUIPMENT
We have a full range of well maintained club-owned diving equipment for use during your Ocean Diver training in the pool and open water training.
In addition, the club has full oxygen equipment and an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), coupled with regular refresher training.
You may also hire the equipment after you qualify to continue diving.
ALDERSHOT GARRISON POOL
Following the closure of the Farnborough Leisure Centre, we now use the Aldershot Garrison early Saturday evenings. This pool has the added benefit of a 4 metre depth, ideal for scuba training. We are able to run pool training sessions for you at your own pace. When not being used for training we encourage all members to practice skills, have a dive and check out new equipment.
CLUB HOUSE
Regular Club meetings take place at Farnborough Rugby Club, Tile Barn Close, GU14 8LS on Thursday nights from 8 pm. We meet for a social gathering and use the opportunity to discuss dive plans and arrangements in time for the weekend.
